The Imaginary Invalid
Argan is a rich man with severe and incurable hypochondria. He decides to marry off his eldest daughter Angelique to a young doctor to ensure the lifelong free treatment of all his imagined ailments. But Angelique is appalled by her husband-to-be and his peculiar father Dr Diafoirus. She joins forces with the maid Toinette to try to persuade Argan to let her marry Cleante, her true love. This is a ridiculous French farce that’s good for what ails you.
