Meet Dennis Cain on the eve of his 40th birthday, making a last ditch attempt to break away from the confines of his middle-class existence.

Dennis and his wife Pauline have recently moved up to 'Phase Two' of their housing estate and are surrounded by Tupperware parties, Weight Watchers and wife-swapping. Dennis longs for his former easy-going way of life.

Should he listen to his wife's advice...? "You’re not a youth any longer Den. You've got responsibilities - you're a mortgagee, you're a father, you're a British Gas Shareholder!" OR, should he follow his dreams and make it - ONE FOR THE ROAD!!
