Pygmalion
Phonetics Professor Henry Higgins has wagered with a friend that he can turn Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a creature of grace and charm. An irresistible force meets an immovable object as the arrogant and seemingly cruel Higgins clashes with an obstinate, unruly Eliza.
Eliza, treated as little more than an experiment, a colourful addition to Higgins’ recordings of English dialects, is adamant the she will rise above her station. Higgins, whilst winning his bet, is in great danger of losing the only thing more important to him than his phonetic scribblings. Has he lost his chance at happiness on a wager?
