Deathtrap

Sidney Bruhl, once the toast of Broadway, has found himself in the middle of a career slump. Suffering from a string of failures, Sydney is desperate for a hit. When aspiring playwright Clifford Anderson sends his idol an unsolicited script, Sydney invites the younger man into his home in order to workshop the play.

Dirty deeds abound as admiration turns to jealousy which in turn leads to murder. But whose murder exactly? And who is the ultimate culprit? Throw in a cautious wife, a Teutonic psychic and a suspicious lawyer and you’re in for a night of suspense, twists and laughter.

Filmed in 1982 with Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve, Ira Levin’s masterful comic thriller will both shock and delight you.
