Doubt
St Nicolas, the Bronx, 1964. Popular, charismatic priest Father Flynn is trying to upend the schools’ strict customs and clashes with Sister Aloysius Beauvier, the iron-fisted Principal who believes in the power of fear and discipline.
But the world outside St Nicolas is changing as the school has just enrolled its first black student, Donald Miller. When a young nun shares her suspicion that Father Flynn is paying too much personal attention to Donald, Sister Aloysius embarks on a personal crusade to unearth the truth and expunge the priest from the school.
Now, without a shard of proof besides her moral certainty, Sister Aloysius enters into a battle of wills with Father Flynn. Will the truth be unearthed? And whose truth? Or will only doubt prevail?
